Custom Lawn Service,Inc. William Phillips, Sr. began Custom Lawn Service, Inc. in 1963 in Lanham,Maryland.  By 1981, Mr. Phillips and his son, Bill Phillips II, began maintaining Federal Government grounds; many of which they continue to this day.


Custom Lawn Service has almost a half century of landscape maintenance experience, and 30 years of local and Federal Government contracting. We are a third generation family run business based in Maryland. Robert Phillips and William Phillips III are also a part of Custom Lawn Service, Inc. and continue the family legacy with their father and grandfather. Our employee turnover rate is very low, and many of our employees have been with us for decades. Our success stems from our enthusiasm and dedication to the meticulous perfection and completion of every task.

The Custom Lawn Service, Inc. team is a “tight knit” unit with natural task and team cohesion which makes each individual integral to our success. Taking pride in our  work and this company is mutually beneficial to our clients.

Our niche in the industry has been landscape and irrigation maintenance at ultra high profile and high demand properties surrounded by the public or important Government officials. We are consistently re-awarded contracts due to our value and performance as evident in our references.
